Enrichment Programs
We host a number of enrichment programs designed to foster collaboration among the center’s scientists, including research conferences, networking opportunities and regular university-wide events. Explore the programs below, and be sure to check out our full center event calendar for a full listing of upcoming programming.
Seminars
We host monthly and weekly clinical and basic science seminars.
Research Retreat
Our annual retreat brings together our investigators and the local scientific community.
Mentoring
Center director Amy S. Paller, MD, and associate director Robert M. Lavker, PhD, both have decades of mentorship experience. Their dedication to trainee (and junior faculty) education and enrichment will continue throughout the center's grant period. Junior members will be encouraged to take courses offered by NUCATS (CTSA) (e.g., good mentoring, grant writing and statistics). Additionally, each core director will be generous with time in counseling about research directions and specific techniques.
Teaching Videos
We've recorded a number of teaching videos and expert interviews, available here for training purposes.
Our training grant (T32) in cutaneous biology aims to provide an environment in which outstanding fellows can learn to become independent scientists within the field.
